    • U16 football Quarterfinalists

      Published 14/01/26

NI U16 DANSKE CUP Quarterfinalists Whilst we didn’t get the result, we hoped for to progress, the girls have been a credit to the school throughout this campaign. Nendrum faced a very professional Girls Model Belfast side in the quarter-final, and unfortunately with a few illnesses and injuries GMB prevailed. We wish them every success sin their Semi-Final. Many of the girls stepped in to different positions and some players even stepped up to the senior team for the first time to help and they did just that. Maisie B our captain had an excellent performance in defence, away from her usual striker role, earning her POTM. Kimberly K had an excellent game in left wing, providing key chances and Rubee R and Maddie N (not pictured) worked tirelessly to press opposition and create chances. Whilst we have not progressed, can we take a moment to appreciate that our small school and small squad had reached the FINAL 8 teams in this Northern Ireland wide Cup competition. This is a huge achievement and the best part is, we won’t lose any players next year! Onwards and upwards for these girls, we now have the league to contest! #smallbutmighty
