    In the first three years at Nendrum College pupils will receive one period each week (35 minutes). Pupils then either study GCSE LLW or a combination of OCN PSWB and OCN Employability Skills.

    At KS4 our pupils follow the CCEA LLW Specification. This specification aims to encourage students to develop the skills required to think independently, make informed decisions and take appropriate courses of action in relation to personal, social, economic and employment issues; develop a deeper understanding of the impact of change on individuals, society and the economy; develop a deeper understanding of the connections between local, national and global issues; develop higher-order critical and creative thinking skills; develop their ability to work effectively with others; develop the knowledge, understanding, skills and confidence to critically challenge accepted views and assumptions; develop a critical and analytical approach to problem solving and decision making; and develop their knowledge, understanding and skills, and progress to further or higher education and employment.

    At KS4 our pupils follow the OCN PSWB Specification. The qualifications will provide learners with a broad base of understanding and knowledge of personal and social development and health and well-being. This subject is 100% portfolio based.
